What a remap does for a petrol BMW Roadster
Factory petrol calibrations leave margin for poor fuel and hot climates. A remap tunes the ignition, fuelling and boost maps to make better use of that margin, which shows up as livelier throttle response and stronger acceleration.
BMW Coupe Z3 3.0 231 against other Roadster engines
Among the 17 petrol Roadster engines we have figures for, the Coupe Z3 3.0 231 ranks 10th for power gain, 1 bhp below the Roadster petrol average of 21 bhp.
Across our whole catalogue the average petrol remap adds 27 bhp and 51 Nm, so this engine's 20 bhp and 40 Nm sits below that benchmark.
