What a remap does for a petrol Volkswagen Eos
With a petrol engine the remap works through the ECU's ignition, fuelling and turbo boost tables. Re-calibrating them within safe limits releases power that is already there, rather than adding anything to the engine.
VW Eos 3.2 V6 250 against other Eos engines
Of the 6 petrol Eos engines in our data, this one comes 4th for power gain, which is 8 bhp below the Eos petrol average of 31 bhp.
Across our whole catalogue the average petrol remap adds 27 bhp and 51 Nm, so this engine's 23 bhp and 47 Nm sits below that benchmark.
