How remapping works on a petrol Alfa Romeo GT
A petrol remap re-works the engine management calibration: air-fuel ratio, ignition advance and boost where fitted. The result is more power and a more immediate throttle, delivered by software rather than hardware changes.

Of the 2 petrol GT engines in our data, this one comes 1st for power gain, which is 1 bhp above the GT petrol average of 22 bhp.
Across our whole catalogue the average petrol remap adds 27 bhp and 51 Nm, so this engine's 23 bhp and 40 Nm sits below that benchmark.
